What we help with

Coverage Built Around Your Situation

No two households are the same. We compare options across multiple carriers so the plan you end up with is the one that fits, not whatever was easiest to sell.

Private Health Plans

Coverage for individuals and families buying on their own. These plans are medically underwritten, so they fit some households better than others — we'll tell you straight which one you are.

  • Often PPO-style networks
  • Enrollment outside open enrollment
  • Availability varies by state

Marketplace Plans

If you qualify for a subsidy, we'll check. Then we put those plans side by side with everything else so you can see the real difference.

  • Subsidy eligibility check
  • Open and special enrollment
  • Individual and family plans

Supplemental & Life Coverage

The gaps a health plan leaves behind — and the protection your family counts on if something happens to you.

  • Dental, vision, and accident
  • Hospital indemnity and critical illness
  • Term and final expense life

Your dedicated agent

Someone Who Actually Picks Up the Phone

I help individuals, families, and self-employed business owners find health coverage that makes sense for their situation — not whatever plan happens to pay the most.

Before I recommend anything, I want to know your budget, the doctors you'd rather not give up, and the prescriptions you're filling. You'll get straight answers, a clear side-by-side comparison, and no pressure to decide on the spot.

And when something goes sideways with a bill or a claim next year, you'll call me — not a queue.

Why families work with us

Not a Call Center. Not Tied to One Company.

Here's what that difference means once you're a client.

Independent by Design

We're contracted with multiple carriers, so we can compare plans side by side instead of steering you toward whatever one company happens to sell.

One Agent, Start to Finish

You get a real person who knows your situation, and the same person answers when you call back at renewal next year.

Help When You Have to Use It

Confused by a bill, a denial, or a network question? We stay in it with you long after the policy is issued — that part's included.

What Clients Say

We'd been on the same plan for years without really understanding it. We got a clear comparison, had our doctors checked against every option, and picked something that made sense for us.
Michael & Sarah T.
I'm self-employed, so health insurance always felt like a guessing game. I got three options explained in plain English and picked the one that made sense. No pressure at all.
James D.
I got laid off with thirty days to sort out coverage. I had a straight answer that same afternoon and something in place before the old plan ran out.
Rob M.
Our daughter sees a specialist we weren't willing to switch. That got checked first, before anything was recommended, and we were told plainly which plans wouldn't work.

Common questions

Questions People Ask Us Most

Straight answers about how coverage works, what your options are, and what to expect when you work with us.

What's the difference between a private health plan and a marketplace plan?

Marketplace plans come with income-based subsidies and can't turn you down or charge you more for a pre-existing condition. Private plans are medically underwritten, so your health history affects whether you qualify and what you pay, and they may cover less. In exchange they often have broader networks and lower premiums for healthy applicants.

Which one fits depends on your income, your health history, and what you need covered. We'll walk you through both, trade-offs included.

I don't qualify for a subsidy. What are my options?

This is the most common reason people call us. Without a subsidy you can end up paying full price for a narrow network and a high deductible. We'll show you what else is available in your area alongside that — premium, network, deductible, prescriptions — so you can see the real trade-offs before deciding anything.

Can I enroll outside of open enrollment?

Often, yes. Some plans require a qualifying life event — marriage, a new baby, a move, or losing employer coverage. Others can be started at other points in the year. We'll tell you exactly which windows apply to your situation.

Will I be able to keep my doctor?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It's one of the first things we check. Before recommending anything we look up your doctors and prescriptions against each plan, and we'll tell you plainly if a plan means giving someone up.

Worth knowing: directories are maintained by the carriers and can be out of date, so it's always worth a call to your doctor's billing office before you finalize anything.

What does it cost to work with you?

You don't pay us a fee. We're typically compensated by the insurance company when you enroll, so the comparison, the paperwork, and the support afterward don't come with a bill from us.

Some plans do bundle in association dues or enrollment fees that are part of what you pay. Those aren't our fees, but they're real, and we'll point them out before you sign anything.
